AlexisTsipras at main pre-electoral speech, Syntagma: Justice will return to Greece on Sunday

SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras warned Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis that those responsible for the deep state will be brought to justice, in his main pre-electoral address at Syntagma Square on Thursday evening.

Referring to the wiretapping issue, Tsipras said, “I would advise Kyriakos Mitsotakis to start packing at Maximos Mansion and pulling out the Predator wires, the proof of the crime. As of Monday, the Mansion will become the headquarters of democracy and justice because a government will assume the responsibility of healing the injuries the Mitsotakis government has left behind.”

The main opposition leader accused the New Democracy leader of turning Maximos Mansion “from a hall of democracy to one of a deep state and wiretappping, trapping half the political system, the military leadership, journalists, and business people.” He also accused the PM of continuing to cover up investigation into the issue.

“The message we are conveying here is that Greece will turn the page on Sunday. On Sunday comes the end of the state of injustice, price-gouging, and inequality. On Sunday, justice will return to Greece and the Greek people will speak and write history.” The Greek people, he added, cannot suffer for another four-year term of injustice, with disappearing incomes, homes lost to foreclosures, and low pensions.
