Strict consequences at the criminal, disciplinary, and civil levels for violators of laws at universities

Athens,Greece.- An informal preparatory meeting on the issue of security in university institutions was held on Saturday, chaired by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Maximos Mansion.
At the meeting, which was attended by government officials, it was decided that the leadership of the Ministry of Education will present specific proposals in the next few days, which will be translated into direct initiatives. The “key” word for the interventions – according to government officials – will be “consequences.” Both at a criminal and disciplinary level, as well as at a civil level, for the perpetrators.
There will also be consequences in individual cases of university institutions that do not comply with the implementation of the law or corresponding decisions.
Furthermore, the implementation of the specific security plans by all universities is becoming urgent.
