PM Mitsotakis has talks with Egyptian President on the telephone

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Thursday spoke on the telephone with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el Sisi and exchanged views on regional developments, with emphasis on the situation in Gaza and developments in Libya.

The prime minister and Egypt’s president underlined the importance of continuing the cooperation and coordination of the two countries with respect to maritime zones in the Eastern Mediterranean for the benefit of security and stability in the region.

They also referred to the progress of talks between Greece and Egypt with respect to the Holy Monastery of St Catherine on Mount Sinai and the need for an agreement soon.
