E. Chris Kaitson Elected AHEPA Supreme President At 103rd Convention In Florida

Lake Buena Vista, FL: . – This month, members of the Order of AHEPA gathered in Florida for the 103rd Supreme Convention, held at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista. Delegates came from across the country and abroad to close out the 2024–2025 term and begin planning for the year ahead.

AHEPA, founded in 1922, has long been a pillar of the Greek American community. It promotes civic service, education, and the spirit of Hellenism across generations.

During the convention, E. Chris Kaitson of Houston, Texas, was unanimously elected Supreme President for the 2025–2026 term. A longtime member of AHEPA, Kaitson has served at every level of the organization, most recently as Supreme Vice President.

Kaitson brings decades of professional experience to the role. He is an attorney and senior executive in the energy industry, currently holding leadership positions at Midcoast Energy and Enbridge. A graduate of South Texas College of Law, he has focused his legal career on business, regulatory, and energy matters while remaining active in civic and philanthropic work in Houston.

That same spirit of service and continuity was reflected in a moving moment during the convention. Kaitson received the President’s jewels, a ceremonial symbol of office, from Millie Kouzounis, widow of Past Supreme President Anthony Kouzounis — a fellow Houstonian and close friend who mentored Kaitson through the years.

“Our future is bright, and there’s no doubt about that,” he told delegates during his remarks.

The week brought together members and families in a setting filled with fellowship, tradition, and shared purpose. There were leadership meetings, cultural events, youth gatherings, and plenty of moments that reminded everyone why AHEPA matters — not just as an institution, but as a community.

As Supreme President, Kaitson is expected to focus on youth engagement, philanthropy, and strengthening the civic and educational mission of AHEPA across all chapters.
