Mitsotakis: The national health system changes, becoming more humane and effective

Athens,Greece.- Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in a post on social media, referred to the first results of the evaluation of the National Health System (NHS) by citizens.
“The National Health System is changing. Step by step, it is becoming even more humane and effective. This is also being seen by citizens themselves who for the first time had the opportunity to rate medical services. Thus, 15,586 SMS messages with questions were sent to patients hospitalized in 92 hospitals and 447 clinics. 30% of them have already responded and the comments are indicative: 93% found the doctors with the specialty they needed. 88% stated that they encountered kindness and respect. While 75% appear to be overall satisfied with the care they received,” the prime minister noted.
“In emergencies, despite the great pressure that we all know exists, the picture also looks encouraging: for 66% the stay did not exceed 4 hours. In fact, for 42% of them it was under one hour. Which proves that the electronic ‘bracelet’, which started in the emergency rooms of 10 hospitals and is gradually expanding, is bringing results. The same, of course, is the opinion of citizens that will help the state identify and solve problems,” he added.
