Kikilias having series of meetings in London as part of London Shipping Week

The Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy Minister Vasilis Kikilias is paying an official visit to London on September 15-16, as part of the London Shipping Week, where he will have a series of meetings with British government officials and contacts with the international shipping community.

On Monday, he will visit the Home Office of the United Kingdom, where he will attend a presentation on the capabilities of the British Coast Guard’s watercraft in managing illegal immigration.

He will then meet with the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organisation, Arsenio Dominguez, while later he will attend the event for the name day of His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain.In the evening, he will be the main guest at the reception that will be held in his honour at the Greek Embassy Residence, with the participation of the Greek shipping community.

On Tuesday 16 September, he will make statements to the media at BMA House, as part of London Shipping Week, and will participate in the Capital Link High Level Panel together with the Cyprus’ Deputy Minister of Shipping, Marina Hatzimanoli, and Dr. Nikolaos P. Tsakos, Chairman and CEO of Tsakos Energy Navigation.

The visit will conclude with a meeting at the Department for Transport with the UK Minister of State for Transport, Keir Mather MP.
