The 2nd Greek Youth Diaspora Symposium is Coming

Following the successful organization of the first International Conference for Youth of the Greek Diaspora, with the theme ‘Greek Youth Diaspora Symposium – Diaspora Dialogues: Connecting Youth Voices Around the World’ November 27 and 28, 2024 in Athens, the General Secretariat for Hellenes Abroad and Public Diplomacy announced the organization of the 2nd Greek Youth Diaspora Symposium, to take place between late November and early December of this year.

This initiative aims to establish a permanent dialogue and collaboration between young members of Greek communities around the world and the metropolitan center, Greece. At the same time, the conference seeks to highlight issues of cultural identity and heritage, and to foster networking between youth from the Diaspora and youth in Greece.

The conference will include participants aged 18-25 from the Hellenic diaspora as panellists who will benefit from a special hospitality program. It is also expected that those who were designated as Hellenic Youth Diaspora Ambassadors during the first conference will take part as well, presenting their initiatives, for which they will be honored.

Participants in the upcoming conference will in turn be named Greek Youth Diaspora Ambassadors and will undertake the implementation of actions and initiatives promoting the Hellenic diaspora.
