AHEPA Reiterates Call to Presidential Candidates to
Respond to Policy Questionnaire, Meet with Community

WASHINGTON – The American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA), a leading membership-based association for the nation’s millions of American citizens of Greek heritage and Philhellenes, reiterated its request to the two main presidential candidates, President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney, to complete AHEPA’s 2012 Presidential Policy Questionnaire and to meet with a cross-section of leaders from the Greek American community to discuss the issues, announced Supreme President Dr. John Grossomanides. AHEPA originally sent its policy questionnaire to the two campaigns on August 28, 2012.

“We repeat our call and strongly urge the candidates to engage with the Greek American community, which contributes much to the fabric of American society,” Dr. Grossomanides said. “It will provide them the opportunity to articulate their positions on the issues that concern the community and examine ways in which we can work together to find solutions to these issues.”
