George Stephanopoulos: Obama Can’t Strike Syria Without Congressional Approval (VIDEO)

George Stephanopoulos sounded off on Sunday on President Obama’s authority to intervene in Syria without Congress’ approval.

Congress’ impending vote on a possible U.S. strike against Syria dominated the roundtable discussion on ABC News’ “This Week.” The panel discussed the obstacles facing Obama as he makes his case for military action, and contributor Donna Brazile predicted that the Syria resolution will not pass the House of Representatives.

“I think you all are all probably right,” Stephanopoulous concluded. “I think there’s some hope it still passes. But the president can’t act if it doesn’t.”
