CHICAGO, IL – Are you smarter than your average Hellene? Channel your inner Greek and join the fun on July 14 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. for Greek Out Trivia Night on the rooftop at the National Hellenic Museum in Chicago’s West Loop.
“What better place to test your knowledge of all things Greek than here at the National Hellenic Museum,” said Rena Lee, Director of Museum Experience. “They say no one likes a know-it-all, but the truth is that everyone likes a know-it-all if they’re on your trivia team.”
It takes teamwork to win the #GreekOut challenge, so get your friends together and register now. Individuals and small groups are welcome. “We’ll make sure everyone gets placed on a team,” said Lee. “It’s a great way to meet new people.”
Tickets include access to all of the Museum’s current exhibits, which means guests will get a chance to brush up on Greek history and culture before heading to the rooftop for a night of friendly competition. “Most of the trivia questions will center around information in the exhibits,” said Lee.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and trivia will start promptly at 7 p.m.
There will be appetizers from Greek Islands restaurant and a cash bar featuring Greek wine, beer, and a specialty Greek cocktail. Trivia prizes include gift cards and Museum tickets. There will also be a Museum Selfie competition.
The Greek Out Trivia Night was developed with the help of students enrolled in DePaul University’s Social Enterprise class.
“We wanted to create a special experience for guests to engage in Greek culture in a fun and interactive way while taking in the skyline from the museum’s amazing rooftop,” said Mary Kate Chrzanowski, one of the student organizers.
