The first event of the year for the Pan-Hellenic Women’s Federation of Australia has successfully taken place. The club chose to welcome 2022 by celebrating with its members ahead of International Woman’s Day (IWD).

Honouring this year’s IWD theme, ‘break the bias’ the members of the federation enjoyed a day trip to Rye and Sorrento, cutting their vasilopita under the sun.

“We need a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination,” President Georgina Papafotiou, told Neos Kosmos.

“We celebrated International Women’s Day, what #nobias means to each and every one of us, and discussed the need for women to support one another and develop new friendships.”
