Daughters of Penelope Nike Chapter #230 Opens 2026 Scholarship Program

The Daughters of Penelope Nike Chapter #230 is accepting applications for its 2026 scholarship, a $1,500 award for a graduating high school senior with ties to the Cherry Hill–based chapter.

The Daughters of Penelope is the women’s affiliate of the AHEPA Family, founded in 1929 with a mission rooted in Hellenism, education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, and family and individual excellence. Through its local chapters, the organization supports educational, charitable, and civic work across the country.

Nike Chapter #230, part of Daughters of Penelope District 5, has carried that tradition forward in South Jersey for 75 years, marking its anniversary in 2025 alongside the centennial of Camden AHEPA Chapter 69.

Applicants may qualify through one of two paths:

  • The first is open to high school seniors who are children or grandchildren of a Nike Chapter #230 member in good standing for the past two years, provided that the member has attended at least six formal meetings during that period.
  • The second is open to students who have been members of the Maids of Athena for two years and have attended at least four formal meetings.

Applications are due May 24, 2026.
