BEYOND 2026, technology and innovation expo opens in Athens for the second consecutive year

The technology and innovation BEYOND Expo is being held at the Metropolitan Expo from 17 to 19 June (Wednesday to Friday), returning to Athens for the second consecutive year.
Under the theme “BEYOND FRACTURES: Where Innovation Meets the Real Market” the expo was inaugurated on Wednesday by Deputy Minister for Digital Governance Christos Dermentzopoulos, who underlined that the Greek market will continue to support initiatives of international importance, contributing to their becoming institutional reference points in Greece and the wider region of south-eastern Europe.
This year’s expo focuses on “fractures” running through the modern world, such as digital, geopolitical, social, and ethical fractures, and examines the role of innovation as a force of connection, adaptation, and growth.
BEYOND serves as a lively platform for dialogue, networking, and collaboration, involving technology companies, start-ups and innovation organisations, research and academic institutions, institutional representatives, public bodies and local authorities, as well as innovation ecosystems from Greece and abroad.
Over 300 exhibitors from 11 countries and nearly 100 startups are participating this year. The countries represented include Cyprus, Belgium, Slovakia, Hungary, Denmark, Germany, France, Portugal, Bulgaria, Tunisia and Hong Kong. BEYOND is jointly organized by the Ministry of Digital Governance, the General Secretariat of Communications and Information, the Region of Attica, the Region of Central Macedonia, the Athens Chamber of Commerce & Industry (EBEA), and the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), while it is held under the auspices of the Ministry of the Interior and the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE).
