The 25th Anniversary of the Hellenic News of America

The 25th Anniversary celebration of the Hellenic News of America, will take place on Sunday, October 14TH, 2012 at the Concordville Inn – Best Western Hotel & Conference Center, in Concordville, PA  4:30 – 6:00PM Cocktails, 6:00PM Dancers Performance, 6:30 PM Award Presentation, 7:00 PM Dinner.

This event signals a historical hallmark in the success of the Greek American community in the documentation and preservation of the Greek heritage and traditions.  This service is only made possible because of the belief in, and passion for, the diachronic Greek culture and values by Hellenes and Phil-Hellenes alike.

The 25th Anniversary Commemorative Journal will feature a retrospective look at the evolution and progress of the community through the lens of the Hellenic News of America since 1987.  Our goal is to advocate, support, chronicle, and spread awareness of the national issues that pertain to Hellenic-American interests, with the dual goal of sponsoring cultural events that perpetuate our Hellenic identity.

Today, more than ever, there is a need to contribute to the advancement of our youth. For this reason, in addition to the Hermes Young Professionals Initiative, we have established an independent Scholarship Committee, chaired by Dr. Dimitri Monos.  Thus far, 10 supporters of the HNA have committed to donate $1,000 each to the Scholarship Committee every year.  We ask that you contribute to this endeavor so that we, together, can support the education of the Greek American youth, to be honored annually at the Hellenic News of America Awards Dinner.
