Olympian Christina Loukas joins panel discussion about the Olympic Games

 

CHICAGO, IL – Join the National Hellenic Museum on Thursday, Sept. 8 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for a panel discussion on the seven values of the Olympic and Paralympic Games: Friendship, Respect, Excellence, Determination, Inspiration, Courage, and Equality.

The panel will feature Olympic diver Christina Loukas and Paralympians Patrick Byrne and Paul Moran, who will talk about their experiences at their respective games and answer questions from the audience. Byrne is a gold medalist in sled hockey and Moran is a five-time Paralympian in wheelchair volleyball and tennis.

This program is co-presented by the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, and is presented in conjunction with the National Hellenic Museum’s exhibitionOlympic Revival: The 1896 Olympic Games, on loan from the famed Benaki Museum in Athens.

Admission is $15 for the general public and $10 for NHM and RIC members. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for tours of the exhibit.
