Diplomatic sources: Greece has sent letter to UN Secretary-General, highlighting invalidity of Turkish-Libyan memorandum

Greece has sent a letter to the United Nations, in which it emphasises the invalidity of the 2019 Turkish-Libyan memorandum recently ratified by the Libyan House of Representatives, Greek diplomatic sources said on Friday.
Greece’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Aglaia Balta, sent a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Thursday, acting on the instructions of Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, the sources said.
The letter outlines the Greek positions, emphasising that the so-called Turkish-Libyan memorandum is null and void, has no legal basis, contravenes the international law of the sea and cannot produce legal consequences for third states.
