Popular Channel 9 travel show kicks off with visit to Greece

Greece is one of the destinations for the popular travel show “Travel Guides” that returns on Wednesday, 28 April, on Channel 9 and 9Now.

The new series kicks off in Greece where the show’s five groups of travel critics – the Fren family, twin cowgirls Stack and Mel, posh pensioners Kevin and Janetta, mates Kev, Dorian and Teng and travel addicts Matt and Brett – embark on a tour of the historical sights of Athens, enjoy the cuisine of Greece and party on at hotspots of Mykonos.

“Greece turns out to be everything our Guides ever imagined, with pristine turquoise waters, sensational souvlaki, stunning destinations, and endless parties – but is their island-hopping holiday just too hectic to handle?” said the show producers.

As well as Greece, the show’s travel critics visit Mauritius, South Korea, Cambodia, South Australia and the Kimberley in north-western Australia.

Each episode sees the show’s travel critics travel to the same location for a week-long holiday to review the cuisine, accommodation, activities and tourist sights.

Aussie comedian Denise Scott provides the narration.
