New Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides to Athens on March 12-14

Newly elected President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides will pay his first official visit to Athens on March 12-14.

Christodoulides, whose visit to Athens is his first abroad since he assumed his duties, was invited by Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

Monday, March 13:

At 10:20 in the morning, Christodoulides will lay a wreath at the Unknown Soldier monument. He will then head to the Greek Presidency for an official reception, followed by a meeting with Sakellaropoulou, and at 11:05 he will be presented with a medal. Expanded talks between the two delegations will follow.

At 12:00 noon, he will meet with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at Maximos Mansion, and at 13:30 he will attend a formal lunch at the Presidency.

At 17:00, Christodoulides will meet with Hellenic Parliament President Constantine Tassoulas.

At 18:00, he will visit the War Museum, where an event will be held by the EOKA (National Organization of Cypriot Fighters) 1955-1959 Historical Remembrance Council.
