American Airlines Launches Athens–Dallas Fort Worth Route for Summer

American Airlines has launched a direct flight between Athens and Dallas for the summer.

The new route from Athens International Airport (AIA) to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) will strengthen the airline’s presence in Athens. This summer, the airline will operate up to 35 weekly flights during the peak season to five US hubs, with daily connections to Charlotte (CLT), Philadelphia (PHL), Chicago (ORD), New York (JFK), and DFW. The service will operate through September 8, 2026, using Boeing 777-300 aircraft with a capacity of 304 passengers and Boeing 777-200 aircraft with a capacity of 273 passengers.

The flight schedule calls for departures from Dallas at 3:40 pm, arriving in Athens at 11:45 am the following day, while departures from Athens will be at 2:00 pm, arriving in Dallas at 6:55 pm local time. With this schedule, the airline will increase its flights to Athens by 25% and its available seat capacity by 30% compared to the 2025 summer season.
