1st Franco-Hellenic Forum for Research and Innovation to be held on June 22-23

The Department for Academic and Scientific Cooperation of the Embassy of France in Greece – the French Institute of Greece, is organising the 1st Franco-Hellenic Forum for Research and Innovation, under the auspices of the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation of the Development Ministry, on June 22-23, at the Theo Angelopoulos auditorium (Institut français de Grèce).

Scientific and academic cooperation between France and Greece has gained fresh momentum following the signing of an Action Plan on April 25, 2026, during the official visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Greece. The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration in higher education and scientific research and includes a range of initiatives, among them the organisation of the Franco-Hellenic Forum for Research and Innovation.

The Forum is designed to address this dual challenge by creating a meaningful platform for exchanges among French and Greek universities, research centres and businesses. Its objective is to foster scientific and technological partnerships across all areas of strategic interest to both France and Greece.
