Blue and white pride at the Sydney Marathon 2026

The colours of Greece proudly filled the streets of Sydney on Sunday as 30 Greek runners took part in the Sydney Marathon 2026, bringing Hellenic pride and community spirit to one of Australia’s major sporting events.

On a picture-perfect morning, runners from Australia and around the world took on the challenging course, while the Greek contingent proudly displayed their blue and white colours as they passed some of Sydney’s most iconic landmarks.

For the Greek participants, the marathon was more than a sporting challenge. It was an opportunity to represent Greece, celebrate their heritage and share the spirit of the Greek community.

The participation of the 30 runners was made possible through a specially organised marathon tour by Golden Marathon Tours.

Congratulations to all the Greek competitors for their dedication, determination and achievement, and special thanks to Golden Marathon Tours for bringing the runners together for this memorable experience.
