Metamorphosis exhibition takes to Melbourne’s streets on Tuesday

For two weeks this month, the work of 14 artists are set to adorn Duckboard Place – a centrally located space within the street art trails of Melbourne’s CBD -as part of the Antipodean Palette 2021 art exhibition which this year is entitled “Metamorphosis”.

The annual Antipodean Palette exhibition is organised by the Greek-Australian Cultural League (GACL) will be launched until 31 May 2021.

The GACL said that the theme “Metamorphosis” was chosen “to align with the central idea of 200 years of Independence of the Republic of Greece from Ottoman rule. But it is so much more than that. It is about change, about adapting, about moving forward.”

Each work in the exhibition will be displayed on a square format on an A0-size poster that will include the theme of the exhibition, the name of the artist, the work’s title and also a QR code that will link to the GACL website to include the full image of the artist’s work, the artist’s statement and contact details.

The artists featured in this year’s exhibition are Heidi Seraphim, Efrossini Chaniotis, Virginia Polendakis, Kalliroe Tsiatsi, Masonik, George Athanasiou, Tina Sideris, Thalia Andrews, Aphroditi Karalis, Maritsa Micos, Katerina Prifti, Konstantinia Gogou, James Pasakos, and Helen Sartinas.
